All 150 RV sites offer full hookups with water, sewer, and electric (20/30/50 amp service). Sites are on paved roads and can accommodate big rigs and large slideouts.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 1:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. The resort uses secure gated access - if arriving outside office hours, contact the resort in advance to make arrangements.
Is AmeriCana a good base for birding in the Rio Grande Valley?
Yes - it is one of the best locations in the country. The resort sits within walking distance of the World Birding Center at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, where more than 500 bird species have been recorded. Green Jays, Altamira Orioles, Plain Chachalacas, and dozens of rare Mexican species appear regularly. The nearby National Butterfly Center adds even more wildlife viewing opportunities.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome at AmeriCana. The resort features a dedicated gated dog park. Pets must be kept on leash in common areas and owners are expected to clean up after their animals.
