Detroit Lake State Recreation Area sits on the shores of Detroit Lake 55 miles east of Salem, Oregon. The park provides lakeside RV sites with electric hookups and direct access to boating and fishing.
The park operates 30 RV sites with 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups. Sites accommodate RVs up to 60 feet long. Drinking water is available at centralized fill stations throughout the campground.
Detroit Lake spans 3,500 acres with a surface elevation of 1,600 feet. The lake supports rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and smallmouth bass fishing year-round. A concrete boat ramp with dual lanes provides lake access.
The campground includes restrooms with flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers. A dump station is available near the campground entrance for registered guests. The park is open year-round, but water systems may be winterized from November through March.
Detroit Lake State Recreation Area is managed by Oregon State Parks. Reservations are accepted up to 6 months in advance.
