Sunset Bay Resort & Campground sits on Lake Superior in Ahmeek, Michigan. It has operated continuously since 1944.
Sunset Bay Resort & Campground opened in 1944. It is one of the oldest continuously operating campgrounds in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The campground places 49 sites directly on the shores of Lake Superior.
Eleven sites are tent-only. Thirty-five RV-tent sites provide 50-amp electrical service. Three cabins include kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, and gas heat.
A small day cabin is available for rent. The campground opens May 22 and closes October 10. Check-in starts at 1:00 PM and check-out ends at 11:00 AM.
Pets are allowed with no aggressive breeds. Guests must not leave pets unattended.
